​I am Erica, trained as an interior architect I graduated my master's degree in 2021, but you could describe me as a creative jack-of-all-trades with a heart for craftsmanship and an undeniable passion for horses!

When I'm not out on an adventure with my pony, you could most likely find me in my workshop space working on some creative project. Most of my inspiration comes from little details from textures and materials found in nature and architecture. In addition to this I'm also passionate about history, more specifically medieval times, it's therefore possible that you bump into me at a reenactment event :)

My goal is to capture characters and personalities on paper and create an item of supreme quality, entirely handmade. I, too, enjoy a portrait that lasts for years without signs of wearing out or a piece of tack that lasts for a very long time. I love to use my know-how and crafting skills and chose consciously to work solely with high-end products of natural origin.
 

Atelier by Erica grew from my two passions, sketching and drawing on the one hand and leather craft on the other hand. I've been drawing for as long as I can remember, and when looking back at my (very) early works I can confidently say: "Practice makes perfect!"

Leathercraft started to fill my workbench much later when I was in search of tack for my pony. A fluffy Fjord horse with a lot of humor (and a massive head ...) It was a constant struggle to find something unique that fit him. Either it didn't speak to my mind or it didn't exist in his size. Until I decided to start creating it myself!
